232AF is a high-quality flexible molded sheeter friction material, specifically engineered for light to medium-duty brake and clutch applications. With a medium coefficient of friction and exceptional flexibility, 232AF is ideal for situations where a strong yet formable material is required. Its smooth, consistent surface and reliable performance make it well-suited for a wide range of industrial, agricultural, and off-highway equipment.


Unlike extruded or profile-calendared linings—which often suffer from low tensile strength and poor rivet-holding capability— Scan Pac produces 232AF using a true sheeter molding process, and is the only manufacturer in the world that continues to do so. This results in a stronger, tougher, and more durable product with excellent dimensional stability and mechanical integrity in both longitudinal and latitudinal directions. For applications requiring slightly more rigidity, HDM offers the same composition as 232AF but includes a slight cure, providing enhanced structural firmness while maintaining similar performance characteristics.
